Pete Seeger's birthday partaay

Listen, you need to be put up on your Pete Seeger game and I am here to do the putting. I am a super duper hiphop dork to the
nth but I happen to also be a super duper folk/bluegrass/roots music dork to the nth, please realize. I was raised at Dead shows and my parents had about 80% of the artists below on heavy HEAVY rotation on the platter when I was coming of age. So yeah, I really wish I could go. "Random Tribute: Pete Seeger" coming in the not-too-distant future (unless I forget or just get lazy).

"Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder, Tom Morrello and Billy Bragg are among the acts announced to perform at Pete Seeger’s 90th birthday gig in May.

The event is to benefit the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, a non-profit organisation created to defend and restore the Hudson River.

Seeger was born in 1919, and tickets for the show will be available for $19.19, going up to $250. They go on sale March 30 at 9am on
Ticketmaster."
